American Roulette Rules

The American Roulette is just like the European version except there is an additional double zero on the wheel. The wheel is made up of 38 sections which are number 0-36. The objective of the roulette game is that a player makes a wager that the ball will rest on a certain number after spinning. When playing American Roulette.

A player can choose to place an inside bet. That means the player is betting on specific pocket that the ball will land in. Outside bets are slightly different. In these bets, the players wager on large groupings of the pockets they can bet on the pocket color where the ball will land or if the number will be odd or even.

Different roulette tables will have maximum and minimum bets.

A player has to buy chips for the game. The chips used on the outside bets are different from those used on inside bets. The chips are also in different color so its possible to tell the players apart. The chips are usually not valued.

After the bets are made, the dearer then spins the wheel in one direction and the ball in another direction. The ball will eventually slow down and fall into one of the pockets.

The dealer then places a marker on the number that has been determined by the roulette wheel. Players can not continue to place bets once the dealer has placed the marker. Bets can also not be removed from the table at this time.

The losing bets are then swept away from the table. The dealer then makes the payout to the winning bets.

When a ‘no spin’ occurs, then wagers are considered void and can be used in the next game.
